Hot-air blowers

Hot-air blowers are used where a large amount of warmth is required throughout the entire house for a short period of time. Two types of hot-air blowers are available to meet the different needs of poultry growers.

Direct fired air heater
The SXA/B Agromax direct fired air heaters are made of high-grade stainless steel, making them impervious to any unfriendly environment. The burner chamber comes in heat-resistant steel. The design of this ventilator burner guarantees excellent performance, this contributes towards an optimum indoor atmosphere at minimum heating costs.

A correct temperature and an even air distribution are important factors for the growing environment in the poultry sector. The SXA/B-series is especially designed to control these factors optimally. The large flow capacity (6000 - 7000 m3/h) and the special round shape of the heater ensure an optimum air distribution. The heater is provided with the latest technology for optimum control. The PCB control board and associated components are placed in a
spray-proof box. The SXA/B heaters have a guaranteed efficiency
of 100%, a clean and complete combustion with a low energy
consumption.

SXA - natural gas (high- or low calorific value), butane, propane
or LPG. 3 capacities: 75kW, 100 kW and 120 kW.
SXB - diesel or paraffin. 2 capacities: 100 kW and 120 kW.

Indirect fired air heater with exhaust:
The fuel and the air stream are totally separated. The exhaust gases do not go into the building as they are exhausted out through the flues.
The combustion chamber has an exclusive cylindrical design which works by flame
inversion to reach high combustion temperature.
The self cleaning design of the combustion chamber gives high CO2 levels and no soot.
The chamber walls retain clear giving lower maintenance requirements and clean
combustion equals high combustion efficiency.
The heaters are supplied complete with electronic thermostat, two meters stainless steel
flue and cap and roof plate.
The thermostat controls the fan motor either manually or automatically and will switch
off the burner in case of over heating.
Heaters are either light oil (diesel) or gas (propane, LPG, methane) fired.

The burner is fixed to an insulated plate; a spy hole in pyroglass to check combustion is included.
An inspection plug, installed on the fan heater side, gives direct access to the combustion chamber and heater heat exchanger.
The heater housing is made of pre-coated galvanised pluvimag steel for protection against corrosion.

Indirect fired air heater with exhaust and outside air intake.
The Agromax SXC Heater has a closed combustion circuit. This means that the
combustion air is taken from the outside, and the combustion gasses are
transported back to the outside. As a result no CO2 and no water vapor are
brought into the poultry house. Furthermore the exhaust gases are transferred
through a heat exchanger and then discharged through the chimney. The
remaining hot air contains no flue gases, is inodorous and not extra contaminated.

With a closed combustion concept there is no open flame in the space which is
safer. The heater is provided with an automatic electronic ignition. A display on
the heater gives feedback on the status of the heater. The heat exchanger is easy
accessible for cleaning from 3 sides of the heater, by means of opening the side
panels. The body of the heater is made from stainless steel which can resist high
pressure cleaning. The combustion circuit has a fresh air inlet and a combustion
outlet. These can be mounted vertical or horizontal with flexible ducting, extension
pipes and accessories.
